Setting security options

Use the Security tab to set options that affect the security of your Player and computer.

To access the Security tab

• On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Security tab.

The following options are listed on the Security tab:

Run script commands when present

Specifies whether script commands can run when content that includes them is playing.

Do not run script commands and rich media streams if the Player is running inside a Web page

Specifies whether script commands and rich media streams can run when content that includes them is playing. This check box applies to Windows Media Player only when it is embedded in a Web page.

Zone Settings

Click to change the Internet Explorer zone settings that control how content is displayed in the Player. For more information about zones, see Internet Explorer Help.
